Extreme claims are often made for high end speakers, and the sound is usually impressive. But when you listen to ours, you can't help but notice they sound as clear as the air itself. It's unique. And the stage is amazingly big and real, somehow suspended up above the speakers. But you get over all that pretty fast, because of the music -- you're enjoying your music like never before.

This is just me, but what I get from these speakers starts with the fascination of absolute tonal purity that seems to be coming from everywhere, then I'm drawn into the music. The smallest detail comes through with flawless delicacy and nuance. Every dynamic attack, whack and thump enters my body. Crescendos lift me with compelling force. Every beat is a call to movement, every note a message to my heart. You might think all that involvement could tire a guy out after a while, but on the other hand, ear fatigue never sets in; I want to listen forever.

In 1954, my father, Arthur A. Janszen, founded JansZen Laboratory after inventing the first viable electrostatic high fidelity speaker ever. It was a resounding success, so to speak, and we've advanced the technology ever since. Electrostatics are known as the best sound reproducers -- and for many reasons, JansZen's are the best of them.

As for practicality, JansZen's are as durable, massive, and forgiving of setup and amplifier variations as the best of conventional high end speakers. Not being dipoles, unlike practically every other planar speaker, you can even place them against a back wall. You can also adjust the response to match your taste and room configuration with rear panel controls. And amplifier distortion cannot possibly harm electrostatic tweeters.

Deep, accurate, electrostatic-quality bass is the result of several factors: a unique WTW dual woofer configuration; fast, low distortion woofers; a sealed enclosure; and a specialized crossover design.
